Smoot Mahooty release debut CD "Leaving You Behind"

Smoot Mahooty's debut CD "Leavin' You Behind" hit the stores on March 5, 2001. Mixed and mastered by Billy Williams (Lyle Lovett's longtime producer), the album features 12 tracks ranging in style from blues to smoky jazz to flat-out tire-burnin' rock and roll. In addition to showcasing their own outstanding musical and writing abilities, the Smootsters brought in a number of guest players for this CD project. As a result, a melange of great songs combined with diverse ideas has been created. These eclectic ideas in conjunction with the addition of Williams at the production stage have all made for a top-notch and entertaining recording.  For more information on "Leavin' You Behind", check out the CD page.
