Along
for the Ride, Smoot Mahooty's second CD was released
in late 2006. With Billy Williams (Lyle Lovett's longtime
producer) once again handling producing duties and engineering
by Jeff Harris, the album features 14 tracks with myriad
influences, while remaining true to the Smoot Mahooty sound
and music values. Guest players on the album include some
of Phoenix's finest musicians - Ryan Bowman (drums), Brad
Brown (guitar), Ron Rutowski (violin), Mike Smith (dobro)
and Bríd Dower (vocals). As a result, a mélange of
great songs combined with diverse ideas has been created.
This combined with the addition of Williams at the production
stage have made for an fresh and elegant recording. Check

Behind, Smoot Mahooty's debut CD was released on March 5, 2001. Public response to the
recording, which has been featured on TV
and radio has been extremely
positive. Mixed and mastered by Billy Williams (Lyle Lovett's longtime producer), the
album features 12 tracks ranging in style from blues to smoky jazz to flat out
tire-burnin' rock and roll. In addition to showcasing their own outstanding musical and
writing abilities, the Smootsters brought in a number of guest players for this CD
